The last of the inhabitants left in 1912, leaving behind a precarious existence based on crofting, fishing and fowling.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>With their magnificent cliffs and arches, Mingulay and Pabbay are a popular destination drawing in visitors and climbers alike.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Please Note: <\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Mingulay, Pabbay &amp; and Sandray have no landing pier, so landings are generally done either on the shoreside, as per the photo below or on the beach, whichever is safest. The landing sites in Mingulay are fairly steep and require some climbing\/scrambling to reach the pathes.\u00a0 Please take this into consideration before booking.
